The Jaskinia Family History

We recently came across a family history published by Thomas Sajwaj, a descendant of Jan Jaskinia (1834-1907). His exacting methodology and personal insights in researching his Jaskinia family in Poland and America provide even diehard researchers with wonderful tools and understanding of an often difficult task.

The Jaskinia family arrived in America and followed a path traced by other familiar Pulaskifield families. The struggles of large city life in Chicago and Kansas City, along with the rural grinds of Arkansas and Missouri and the wild west of early Texas provide a panorama of Polish life in the 1800’s. Coupled with his assistance in understanding the Polish culture of the “Old Country” and how it affected Jan’s choices in America, Thomas weaves a pattern of persistence and necessity of action in the life of a Pole.

Without a doubt, the Church had a firm hand in guiding the family, and the interaction between the Catholic Churches of Verona, Pierce City and Pulaskifield as notably interesting.

Whether your family claims Eiskina, Staponski, Filarski, Bobski, Bartkoski, Kuklinski as a surname, or Pulaskifield, Missouri or Grabowo, Poland as your origin, this publication will find a treasured place in your library.
